Golf has been played at this site since 1791, but the existing seaside links course was designed by Old Tom Morris and dates to 1899. Then in 1926, Tom Simpson and Herbert Fowler undertook a redesign. The internatioally famous course has been ranked 52nd in the world by Golf Magazine. Also available is the 9-hole, par-32 "Saint Olaf" course, which debuted in 1926 with a design by Simpson and Fowler.
The standard walking rates on the Championship course are £100/round or £135/day. The day rates on the Saint Olaf course are £25 on weekdays, then £35 on weekends. Junior, winter, and guest-of-member discounts are also available.
