Donald Trump's first golf development in Scotland appears to match the hype; architect Martin Hawtree has carefully woven this genuine seaside-links course through and over rather wild sand dune formations along the Aberdeenshire coast, at a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The course has already met with critical acclaim from golf publications and architecture critics alike.

Hawtree's routing is for two nine-hole out-and-back loops and features almost 100 bunkers, including eighteen(!) on the closing hole. Five sets of tee-boxes will eventually be available, as will course slope-and-ratings from the Scottish Golf Union.

The walking rates here are £150 weekdays and £200 weekends, although residents of the City of Aberdeen and of Aberdeenshire will be afforded a 20% discount. Memberships are also available.
