The course at Stoneham runs over attractive and tumbling heathland and parkland terrain. Of the long par-4s, the 4th is exhilarating, driving out over heather before plunging steeply downhill. A stream crossing 90 yards short of the green is of concern to most golfers.

Visitors and societies are welcome with advance arrangement; the standard visitor walking rates are £52/round and £59 day on weekdays, and then £59 and £69 on weekends. Guests of members and county card-holders pay between £25 and £30 per round.
