Introduced in 1999, the Firesole fairway metals, used a combination of steel and tungsten for distance and playability. The tungsten sole plug re-positions weight under the ball to get the ball airborne. TaylorMade's graphite Bubble shafts were standard.

This is the only club in my bag that I have never needed to replace. I consistently hit this club off the deck with ease. Great club!
