When the Las Vegas Golf Club opened with nine holes in 1938, it was simply known as "The Muni" - the first golf course in Las Vegas. In 1947, nine more holes were added, giving Las Vegas Golf Club the layout it has today.
The course was designed by William P. Bell, and although the design at Las Vegas Golf Club is now considered antiquated in today's new era of desert-style courses, the owners feel "The Muni" still provides a very enjoyable round of golf while offering players the chance to experience an authentic piece of Las Vegas history.

Extremely slow play! Decent course that is well maintained. Very good club house, pro shop and driving range. Course is located next to a busy street and school so it is fairly noisy during play. Overall, good value for being close to the Las Vegas strip.
