One of the private clubs in the TPC roster, this course was formerly known as "TPC at Avenel". A major renovation was completed in 2009 with design input from architects Tom Fazio and Pete Dye, as well as PGA Tour players Fred Funk and Davis Love III.
The course hosted the old Kemper Open until 2006 and will host Tiger Woods's regular-season PGA Tour event in 2017.

Course was in great shape. Interesting layout with very scenic holes. Greens were fast but rolled true. Definitely one of the top 5 courses I have ever played. Would love to try it again.

We recently played TPC-Potomac as part of a fundraiser for The First Tee, which is great to see the course support such a wonderful cause. In addition to opening the course to the public for certain dates, they were donated all of the proceeds to the charity.
I have played a few of the other courses in the TPC family, and TPC-Potomac definitely lives up to the course quality of the rest of the family. The course was in perfect condition, despite being early in the season and getting heavy rains for several days leading up to our tee time. The course is a great test for low handicappers, but is quite fair for high handicappers. If you have the chance to play a round here, I highly recommend you pony up the high price for the opportunity.
