Serengeti Golf & Wildlife Estate opened in a luxury residential development in June of 2009; this 27-hole facility features an 18-hole course ("Masai Mara") designed by Jack Nicklaus, as well as the 9-hole "Whistling Thorn" layout. This is the first facility in Gauteng to use cool season grasses, so the course appears very green throughout the year. Of note is the par-5 8th hole, which finishes with an island green.

The 6,500 square-meter clubhouse includes a golf shop, teaching academy, fitness center, and several lounges, bars, and two restaurants.

Visitors are welcome but must book in advance. Visitors unaffiliated with the national golf association pay ZAR 675 (carts are ZAR 250).
