The Stonemont Course is the original 18-hole layout here, a Robert Trent Jones Sr.-design that opened in 1969 that runs over gently rolling, narrow tree-framed fairways of Bermuda and greens of bent grass. The par-70 layout plays to just under 6,900 yards. Several creeks and drain-ways are in play, as well.
The Lakemont Course was built in two phases beginning in 1988. John LaFoy routed the first nine around Stone Mountain Lake, with views of the Confederate Memorial and six holes with water in play. The 6th hole was renovated in 2000 into a picturesque par-3 over water.

rough was too long and most greens were not kept. found most to be in bad shape, perhaps because of the wet & rainy days prior.

Nice course. $35 for one round!! Good views. Greens were VERY slow. Had been raining for a couple of weeks, very green.

Great scenery overall good course. You have to pay additional $10 to enter the park. You can get $5 off the course fees but no one working there mentioned that; thanks a preceeding four some passing on the info, we took advantage of the savings.
