This is a pretty lnks style course situated in an island in the bay at La Paz, Baja California Sur. It is a resort type private island accessed by a free boat shuttle from the marina (Malecon) We came on their low season (May) and were met at the pier by two golf carts that took us to the clubhouse. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They gave my wife and me two sets of loaner clubs to play with for free. The clubs had seen better days and my hybrid club was actually a woman's club, but it worked well nevertheless.
The practice range was nice. The tees were ok but the fairways were quite dry and, in patches, bare. The manager explained to us that they had issues with the water during the winter (cut off twice) but that was resolved, however in the summer season, it really got too hot for the grass to be good.
Once you got to the greens however, the experience turned around 100% The greens were not just maintained, they were manicured, polished and bikini waxed. I've seldom played on better greens. To my utter amazement, even my longest putts broke true and so many went in that I finished my round thinking that I could actually putt!
I hope they manage to stay in business and improve their fairways.
