This club formed in 1894, although this course dates to 1907 and was later modified by the legendary architect Dr. Alister Mackenzie. Following construction of the M18 motorway and the loss of four holes, the course was modified in 1979 with a design by Frederick W. Hawtree.

Visitors are welcome; the standard walking rates are £36/round or £40/day on weekdays, then £40/round on weekends. Societies are also welcome with prior arrangement.
