This club was founded in 1873, was granted "royal" status by Queen Victoria in 1884, and has hosted the Canadian Open nine times. This location, the third in club history, opened in 1959 with 45 holes. The Blue Course is a Dick Wilson design that opened in 1958; Rees Jones designed the renovation of the Blue in 2004.
