David Esler's design here is meant to echo prairie- and links-style courses such as Shinnecock Hills, Sand Hills, and Prairie Dunes. With that in mind, Esler had 140 acres of native prairie grasses planted, along with fifteen acres of wetlands in order to restore what *was* farmland back to the landscape Native Americans found here.
