The key feature in the landscaping of Templer Park is the famous majestic Bukit Takun, a limestone hill more than a million years old, that towers over the entire golf course sticking out like a sore thumb yet creating an awesome sight to behold. The designer, Jumbo Ozaki in association with Kentaro Sato a well known golf course architect designed the course right next to this conspicous mound and cleverly blends the course with the virgin jungle. Bunkers and water hazards are strategically placed throughout.

Bunkers and water hazards are strategically placed to challenge the seasoned golfers to go for it. Hole no.18 is an example, where golfers have the choice to take the direct route across the huge expanse of lake or to go round it to get to the green. Since Templer Park Country Club was opened in 1991, the club played host to all the major amateur tournaments in Malaysia. The professional tournaments held here were the Benson & Hedges Malaysian Open in 1995, 1996 and 2000.
Well known world class professional who played here were, Bernhard Langer, Goosen, Padraig Harrington and Andrew Coltart
Presently major upgrading of fairways and greens being undertaken scheduled to complete early or mid-2009

Excellent golf course, a good test of golf.
Greens very slick @ 10 - 11 Stimp
course is busy and is unorganised.
