This 18-hole parkland-style course was designed by five-time Open champion J.H. Taylor. Interestingly, Samuel Ryder was a former Captain here and wanted to have the Ryder Cup Matches here, but the course was considered too new at the time. Interestingly, this course finishes with consecutive par-5s.

Visitors and societies are welcome on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Some times are also available at weekend afternoons only. Standard visitor walking rates on weekdays are £40/round and £50/day, while weekend rates are £50 and £55. Advance reservations are required.
