Two courses are part of this resort; the Mackintosh course was named after Alfred Donald Mackintosh, the 28th Chief of Clan Mackintosh and Chief of Clan Chattan, who resided at Cottrell during the 19th and 20th centuries. This course plays from 5,334 to 6,568 yards from four sets of tees. The Mackintosh has hosted several men's and women's Welsh Golf Union events.
The shorter Button Gwinnett course plays from 5,326 to 6,229 yards from three sets of tees. A practice range and golf simulators are also available.
The standard walking rates for visitors are £30 weekdays and £40 on weekends, although a variety of specials are listed on the resort's web site. Likewise, societies and corporate groups are also welcome with prior arrangements.

Pity no course marshalls out as the groups ahead were V slow, we were 4 ball with buggies and not being let through by the 3 ball ahead was frustrating. Excellent clubhouse and views great too, drainage an issue on the Button course though.
