While the club formed in 1891, the course at this site dates to 1937 and a design by architect Theodore Moone. When the M8 motorway was constructed, five holes were destroyed, necessitating five new holes designed by architect Graeme Webster. At about that time, all of the greens were reconstructed to the USGA's tri-layer specification.
Visitors with a valid golf handicap certificate are welcome, but advance booking is highly recommended. The standard walking rates are £30/round or £40/day. Memberships are also offered.
