Although this course is located in central Florida, architect Michael Dasher used the sand-based plot of land to give this layout more of an open-terrain "Carolinas" type flavor. In addition, some elevation changes are present, which is also rather unusual for Florida. Davenport is located not far from the Winter Haven/Lakeland area, about a ten-minute drive southwest of DisneyWorld.

Played back in early February 53 degrees and 2 club wind. In spite of this had a fabulous time and broke 90. Left Toronto in the middle of a snowfall at the time which made this even more enjoyable!

Greens had been dressed on my first round but were still quick and true. I played my second round 11 days later and it was superb. Greens were fast and true.

Very nice course except for the shag carpet greens. Had to have been 7-8 on the stimp scale. Employee said they over seeded a couple of weeks prior and they have not cut the greens normally yet. I would play the course again.

Had a great round at this course and was second favourite out of 5 courses played int he week. Only downside were the greens which had been airated recently and not healed properly due to lack of rain. This was explained by the course pro however who did offer his apologies. All staff were excellent and very accommodating. Would definately play again.

Pretty plain old Jane. saw it in worst condition of the year though, to be fair.
