Formerly known as Habitat at Valkaria, this course is now owned and operated by Brevard County and lies close to Indian River Lagoon and Brevard County's southern boundary. As the name suggests, this course is a haven for wildlife, with plenty of wetlands and pine forests serving as home to many sandhill cranes, gopher tortoises, scrub-jays and other animals. Of note are the 6th hole (a Scottish flavor) and the 13th hole (Carolina-style).
Rates vary by season; the winter non-resident walking rate is $43; carts are $12.

For the price, the course is OK!!! There are too many holes that require prior knowledge to know where to aim the the shot. Plus there are a few "gimmick" holes (like #9 and #18)...the greens are ok BUT the thee boxes and sand traps could use some work. If you are in the area and what a good value then give it a try...driving range needs some work too.
