North Hants Golf Club was founded on 6 May 1904 with a course designed by five-time Open champion James Braid. However, the notable architect Harry Colt oversaw a redesign in 1913. North Hants GC has been an Open Championship qualifying venue and also hosts two important 36-hole amateur tournaments: The Hampshire Hog for men and the Hampshire Rose for women.
