While the club dates to 1908 as Canniesburn Golf Club, this course opened in 1924 with a design by five-time Open champion James Braid. While the 12th is known as an exceptionally tough hole, noted golf instructor Bob Torrance has described Windyhill one of the best parkland courses in the region.
The club has a clubhouse, catering, and a pro-shop.
Visitors and societies are welcome; the summer rates are £25/round or £35/day, while the winter rate is £12/round.
