I played the Nejapa Country Club golf course during my Thanksgiving vacation in 2009. This is an exclusive golf course for the Nicaraguan elite but a partnership with the Hotel Crowne Plaza in Managua (capital) allows the hotel guests to play it.
I played with caddies and a pro shop instructor for a fraction of the price I would pay anywhere. The pro shop instructor also helped me mapped the course with my GPS SkyCaddie. I am proud to say that this is the first GPS mapping done for a Nicaraguan golf course.
Nejapa is a beautiful golf course, well maintained. It’s like an oasis in Nicaragua. You would need a SUV to get there because the access roads are rough terrain but that’s part of the fun.
