Old Head Golf Links is built on a 220-acre diamond of land, jutting out over two miles into the Atlantic Ocean. The promontory is almost an island, with numerous caves running underneath. The links and practice area occupy 180 acres, while the remaining 40 acres of unspoiled cliff (rising in places to over 300 feet) frame the course.
The course was designed by American architect Ron Kirby, Australian architect Paddy Merrigan, and Irish professional golfer Liam Higgins.

Stunning course but not a links course. My buddy and i played it in light winds so it was amazing. Would be beast in any high winds. Scenery is second to none and course was in amazing shape. We walked it but there are a few holes that are spread out. We stayed at lodge which was spectacular. Will play again when we go back to Ireland.

It's pricey but well worth it. The lodge/hotel are great.

One of the most amazng course I have ever played. Unfortunatly the day was't the best day to play golf because of wind of over 80km/h

Great scenery and some decent holes but for real golfers there are many far better links courses in Ireland. Old Head is not a links course in the true sense.

Played July 10th great day no rain and little wind. Would be much different golf course with some rain and winds.

This is one place all golfers must visit. Expensive but worth it. Played two days in a row which I recommend as there are too many shots left out on the course after the first round. Caddie essential.
