This 9-hole course opened in 1900 and runs though a heavily-wooded portion of the Chiltern hills of Buckinghamshire. Two sets of tees have been designated so that an 18-hole round is possible; this is reflected in our scorecard for C&LH.
Visitors are welcome at various times, so pre-booking is suggested. The visitor walking rates are £20/round, £25/day.

The course is lovely. They have had a new greenkeeper for the past 3 years apparently and it has come on in leaps and bounds.
I played in an Inter-club match there for the first time today and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
The 2 sets of tees are sufficiently different in most cases that it doesn't seem like a 9-hole course.
The 3rd (12th) hole is a fabulous hole, short but full of character and very tricky.
It is in excellent condition and puts my own club to shame with the Tees, greens and bunkers being excellent. It is also a tight course, but plenty of room if you are sensible.
The food was excellent and nice and tasty the pasty, chips and Beans a good reward for playing 18 holes and there was plenty of it.
