Advertised as being the 13th-oldest golf course in the world, Scotscraig is located about 15 minutes from Saint Andrews. Golf was played here as early as 1817, but after being ploughed up for many years and then reconstituted in the early 1900s, five-time Open Championship winner James Braid designed the current course in 1923.
