Victoria Golf Club is, in many ways, similar to its neighbour Royal Melbourne. Thick stands of tea trees line most fairways, deep bunkers catch errant shots both at greenside and off the tee, and the greens can be tremendously fast. The course has a number of interesting features, namely two driveable par-4s (1 and 15), back-to-back par-5s (8 and 9, then 17 and 18), and several challenging par-4s in the middle of the course.

Victoria GC has hosted a number of major tournaments including the 2002 Australian Open, multiple Victorian Opens, and other national tournaments.
