This downland-style course is built on a chalky substructure which provides good drainage and is playable at the wettest times of the year. The course stretches from 5,515 to 6,605 yards. The wind is one of the big challenges here, usually in the form of a breeze from the English Channel.
Visitors are welcome, although advance booking is recommended. The standard visitor walking rates are £37.50 weekdays and £40 weekends, although twilight and county card-holder discounts are available. Societies of at least ten players are also welcome with prior arrangement.

Played in the local BDGS Intermediate competition and had a great 36 holes. Course in excellent condition , the only criticism that the greens were very unpredictable and some grooved! excellent hospitality and food. A good long course with some tricky holes and wide open fairways especially on the Par 5's. The short par threes off the championship tees are demanding.
