This course was built on the side of a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Hole #1 starts at an elevation of 2,100 feet and the course moves up the hill to about at 3,000 feet - in fact, four holes play uphill. Many deep sand and grass bunkers guard the greens, some of which can be a bit narrow. The picturesque par-3 15th begins from an elevated tee to a green with a lake on the left and sand on the right. Amongst other wildlife, peacocks can be seen strutting around the course.
The standard daily fee for non-residents is $85; Kama'aina (local residents) pay $55. A twilight rate is also available, as are memberships.

Very nice and challenging course. Great view of the ocean. Lot of peacocks everywhere. First hole is very far from the clubhouse need absolutely a driving cart.

Great course fair but hilly and small greens to keep your interest up. A lot of fun.

Fairly challenging. Not a resort course. Somewhat narrow fairways, jungle outside of narrow rough areas, i.e. kiss your ball goodbye. Greens in excellent condition. Peacocks fairly slow in playing, but generally will let you play through. Great views of the Kona Coast.

Challenging course with blind shots and hilly terrain and of course excellent weather. Not one of my favorite courses in Hawaii, yet I enjoyed the scenery and the peacocks all over the course.

Some stunning views of the island. Not too many hole to let the driver loose. Fun with all the elevation changes. If you play smart and keep it in the fairway a fun and stern test.
