This course dates to 1914, when 18 holes designed by George Cummings opened. But in 1924, the legendary architect A.W. Willighast oversaw a major redesign, bringing Highland Creek into play on 11 of the 18 holes here. Scarboro has hosted a number of Canadian Open and Canadian Amateur Championships since 1940.
