This course was designed by Scottish-born Tom Nicoll when it opened in 1912, although A.W. Tillinghast oversaw some changes in 1936. In 1997, the late architect John Harbottle III oversaw a major renovation. Three sets of tees stretch the course from 5,492 to 6,225 yards.
