Blackhawk Golf Club is a popular daily-fee course situated in rolling hills north of Austin. It opened in the autumn of 1990 with a design by Charles Howard and three-time U.S. Women's Open champion Hollis Stacy.

Due the current financial situation, the course is basically a field where you can hit balls. All the sand traps have been grassed over, no turf on the tee boxes which haven't been changed in months, fairways are very rough and greens have a lot of poa. Pace of play on Saturday is slow. I would not waste my money going there.

Course is improving steadily, greens are always in good shape. Fairways and tee-boxes are rough. But work is happening which is nice ti see. I love playing here.
