Just after World War I concluded, a number of local business people formed this private club, which includes a course that opened in 1920 with nine holes designed by Emil Loeffler. The second nine opened several years later following acquisition of additional land. The course is located in the Ben Avon Heights area, about 10 miles northeast of Pittsburgh's CBD.
