Robert Bruce Harris did the original design of this parkland-style course in 1957, while modern-day architect John Fought oversaw a renovation in recent years. Wayzata CC hosted the 1984 USGA Junior Championship and the 1994 USGA Men's Mid-Amateur, and is regarded as one of the better and tougher private courses in the state. A full practice facility includes a short six-hole practice course.
